Nana and Puddin's Most Excellent Adventure

Hola,

This past weekend Puddin' and I had the opportunity to get away.  The weekend was hosted by a vendor from Puddin's work.  We were spoiled rotten at the Palmetto Bluff Inn.  We tried to act like we do this kind of thing everyday....at least we tried while in the presence of the big kids.

This is the original mansion.  It was to have been built as a hunting lodge, but the New York banker's wife had other plans. Isn't that the way it goes?  Upon completion, the mansion had 72 rooms, 21 bathrooms, a ballroom, library, servant quarters.  However, a fire destroyed the mansion in 1926.  Devastated, the family sold the property.  Below is a picture of the ruins from the original mansion.  The present day inn sits to the left of the ruins.

When you enter the gate, you are given a CD to play as you wind your way to check.  You will see plenty of wildlife and trees, lots of trees.  To quote Puddin' quoting Forrest Gump, there are plenty of trees to dangle from.

More pictures and updates to follow....no, really, I promise.

Have a good day to my two followers.  Love you!
